CIMC Sinopacific Offshore and Engineering inked one plus one LNG bunkering and supply vessel contract with China’s Fuzhou Wuyang Tanker.

The contract with the shipyard is the first LNG bunkering and supply vessel of this type build by private domestic company in China.

Each ship will have two IMO type C cargo tanks with a total capacity of 12,000 cu metres. The LNG cargo in each tank will be stored at a temperature of -163 degrees Celsius.

The vessel has excellent manoeuvrability, autonomous berthing performance, speed and ship-ship/ship-shore compatibility. In addition, it is capable of navigating in Ice Class B, and has a design life of 30 years.

After delivery, the vessel will mainly service for domestic and foreign port transportation, coastal LNG-powered vessel bunkering, inland river bunkering stations and Yangtze river LNG transhipment.
