Cosco shipyard bags $20.8m research vessel order

China's Cosco (Guangdong) Shipyard has won an order to build one research vessel valued at RMB129m ($20.8m) for an unnamed Asian buyer.

The research vessel is expected to be delivered in the fourth quarter of 2017.

Cosco Corp (Singapore), parent firm of the Guangdong shipyard, said the contract will become effective upon the receipt of Letter of Guarantee from the bank of the shipyard.
