The three newbuildings will be constructed at CSBC’s Keelung yard with delivery scheduled for 16 July 2018, 14 September 2018, and 14 December 2018, respectively.

Newbuilding orders have been far and few for the Taiwanese shipyard amidst the global shipbuilding industry slump.

The last time that CSBC won a new order was in June this year for the construction of two 1,800-teu feeder container vessels valued at a total of $48m.
