CSSC (Hong Kong) Shipping orders bulker pair from DSIC

Dalian Shipbuilding Industry (DSIC) has inked two bulk carriers construction contract with CSSC (Hong Kong) Shipping.

The 85,000 dwt post-panamax bulker pair measures 227.2 m in length, 36 m in width and 20.35 m in depth, and has larger loading capacity and greater economic efficiency compared to kamsarmax bulk carrier.

DSIC had secured ten 85,000dwt bulk carriers in 2019. The new order is the same type of the vessel with adjustments and upgrading on part of the systems, which could help the company to better control the construction costs of this ship type, said DSIC.
