Damen Shipyards Group has sold one its built to stock tugboats to German owner Neue Schleppdampfschiffsreederei Louis Meyer.

The ASD Tug 2411 was built in Damen Shipyards Changde in China before being transported to the Netherlands and will now undergo finishing before being delivered to its new owner.

Named Jan the tugboat with 70 tonnes bollard pull will primarily operate in the Port of Hamburg, and will be the seventh Damen tug to operate in the German port.

“We’re very pleased to be continuing our relationship,” said Frank de Lange, Damen Sales Director North, West & Southern Europe. “This once again demonstrates its effectiveness as an efficient and fit-for-purpose vessel for the world’s busiest cargo ports.”
