CSSC Guangzhou Shipyard International (GSI) inked two plus two LNG dual-fuel LR2 tankers contract with Eastern Pacific Shipping.

Measuring in 250 metres long and 44 metres wide, the vessels are independently developed by GSI. The two firm newbuild 115,000 dwt tankers are due for delivery in March and December 2026, each of them costs $70m.

GSI and Eastern Pacific Shipping have established long-term partner relationship, which had delivered the world’s first LNG-fuelled newcastlemax bulk carrier and LNG dual-fuel suezmax tanker to EPS.

The new order is expected to further promote EPS’s clean-energy fleet development.
