GSI bags MSC boxship pair from China Merchants Financial Leasing

Guangzhou Shipyard International has inked a contract for two 16,000 teu boxships with China Merchants Financial Leasing, the first time it has ordered from the yard.

The 366 metres long, 16,000 teu capacity boxships will be LNG-dual fuelled and scrubber equipped.

The newly signed order makes GSI’s 16,000teu boxship’s order on hand to be eight.

Upon delivery, the vessels are expected to service for container line MSC.
