Lepta Shipping returns to Yangzijiang for up to 12 bulkers

Jiangsu Yangzi-Mitsui Shipbuilding, a unit of Yangzijiang Shipbuilding, has secured 10 plus two 82,500 dwt bulk carriers from Lepta Shipping.

The vessels will be classified by Japanese classification society ClassNK and are due for delivery from the first quarter of 2026.

Lepta Shipping and Yangzijiang Shipbuilding have established long-term partner relationship, which has ordered 82,000 dwt and 180,000 dwt bulk carriers from shipyards of Yangzijiang. The New Yangzi Shipbuilding is currently constructing ten 3,500 teu containerships for Lepta. 

With the addition of the new orders, Yangzi Yangzi-Mitsui Shipbuilding holds over $2.1bn orders on hand and its production schedule is full till the beginning of 2027.
