New Times Shipbuilding to build 27 vessels in 2023

Private Chinese shipbuilder, New Times Shipbuilding, plans to start construction of 27 newbuilds this year.

In 2022, New Times Shipbuilding delivered 21 vessels, adding up to 3.19m dwt, including five dual-fuelled vessels. Newly received order volume of shipyard was 4m dwt last year including 39 vessels. 

As of date, the shipyard has already delivered four new vessels in 2023, totaling in 655,000 dwt.

New Times Shipbuilding is running the trial production of its high-end vessel project this year, which can further improve its production efficiency when put into full operation.

The current orders on hand will keep the yard busy till 2026.
