Norwegian Car Carriers adds one LNG dual-fuel PCTC at CIMC Raffles

Norwegian Car Carriers (NOCC) is returning to CIMC Raffles for the construction of the third 7,000 ceu PCTC adding to its green fleet in the future.

NOCC previously signed a contract with CIMC Raffles for the construction of two 7,000 ceu PCTCs which will be LNG dual-fuelled and ammonia ready. The first vessel is scheduled for delivered in 2025 and the second one will be delivered in 2026.

Oslo-based NOCC currently operates a car carrier fleet of three vessels, the 6,500 ceu Liberty Passion, 6,500 ceu NOCC Oceanic and 6,754 ceu NOCC Altantic

At the beginning of this year, CIMC Raffles delivered the first domestically-build LNG-powered car carrier specially used for China-made automobile exports. The vessel was ordered by Zodiac Maritime and chartered to the Chinese automobile manufacturer BYD.
