RINA awards AIP to SDARI for dual-fuel car carrier

RINA has issued the AIP Certificate to Shanghai Merchant Ship Design & Research Institute (SDARI) for a 7,500 car equivalent unit post-panamax dual-fuel PCTC.

The application of LNG dual fuel propulsion enables compliance of mid-long term decarbonisation and the new design is aimed at the requirements of shipping electric-powered cars.

“It is RINA’s great honour to issue the AIP certificate to SDARI and we appreciate the trust from them. RINA will keep providing support and service to maintain the long term and high efficiency cooperation with all for further development,” said RINA.

The ceremony for delivery of AIP certificate was held at SDARI.
