Seacon Shipping orders 4+4 bulkers from Huangpu Wenchong

CSSC Huangpu Wenchong Shipbuilding inked contract with Seaco Shipping n for the construction of four plus four 85,000 bulk carriers.

The vessels, developed by Huangpu Wenchong, are in 228.9 meters length, 36 meters beam and 11.8 depth, with lower fuel consumption and larger loading capacity, meeting the requirements of EEDI Phase 3.

The contract price and the delivery date had not been disclosed.

Huangpu Wenchong is the main fabrication base for naval vessel, special engineering ship and offshore engineering in South China. The contract signed with Seacon is the first order Huangpu Wenchong received a vessel the yard has developed itself.

Seacon Shipping Group, headquartered in Qingdao, Shandong province, is a comprehensive enterprise integrating international shipping, ship management, crew manning, fleet operation and maritime service.
