Shanhaiguan Shipbuilding wins order for two 38,500 dwt bulkers

Shanhaiguan Shipbuilding Industry Co, subsidiary of China Shipbuilding Industry Company (CSIC), has inked an order to build two 38,500 dwt dry bulk carriers for a domestic shipowner.

The financial details of the contract and delivery dates for the vessels were not disclosed.

Shanhaiguan Shipbuilding said the bulk carriers are designed by CSIC’s China Ship Design & Research Center (CSDC) to optimise energy efficiency.
