Sinopacific delivers first SPA150 AHTS vessel

China’s Sinopacific Shipbuilding Group has held a christening and delivery ceremony for its newly-built SPA150 AHTS vessel, constructed for shipowner Femco Group.

This SPA150 vessel is the first of four units contracted by Femco.

The DP2, medium size 12,000 bhp AHTS vessel boosts 150 tonnes of bollard pull, 515 square metres of cargo deck, and is suitable for different kinds of offshore support work such as anchoring, tugging,SPA150.jpeg external firefighting, oil pollutant recovery, as well as loading of liquid and dry cargoes.

Rolls-Royce has provided integrated equipment packages for the SPA150 series, which has been a first for Rolls-Royce in the Chinese market, according to Sinopacific.

Simon Liang, chairman and ceo of Sinopacific, commented: “To accomplish our proactive strategic planning, we have to leverage a full range of technical innovations and project management practices.
