Sinotrans & CSC Shipbuilding Industry Corporation has inked a strategic agreement with Chongqing Iron & Steel (Group) Co on steel procurement for the shipyard.

The 2015 annual steel demand and supply agreement between the two state-owned companies was signed late last week, according to an announcement by Sinotrans & CSC Shipbuilding on Tuesday.

The Chinese shipbuilder believed that the cooperation would bring about long term benefits for the two parties in terms of managing market risks and exploring new business opportunities.
