Southwest Maritime orders two VLECs at Jiangnan Shipyard

Tianjin Southwest Maritime and Jiangnan Shipyard have signed shipbuilding contract of two 98,000 cu m VLECs for Zhejiang Satellite Petrochemical.

The VLEC pair ordered by Tianjin Southwest Maritime will be deployed on Zhejiang Satellite Petrochemical’s petrochemical project at Lianyungang port. It is Southwest Maritime’s first order for VLEC vessels.

The ships will be delivered during June and September 2022 under the chartering contract inked between Southwest Maritime and Zhejiang Satellite Petrochemical

Last month, Zhejiang Satellite Petrochemical confirmed the order to build two VLECs at Hyundai Heavy Industries and Samsung Heavy Industries respectively.
