Norway’s Wallenius Wilhelmsen has officially entered into shipbuilding contract with China Merchants Jinling Shipyard for the construction of firmed four and eight optional methanol dual-fuel car carriers. 

On 15 August 2023, Wallenius Wilhelmsen and Jinling Shipyard signed a letter of intent for four 9,350ceu newbuildings, plus options for an additional eight vessels.
