Yangzijiang launches manufacturing base for gas fuel systems

Tianyang Green Ship Technology (T-GET), a production base of liquid fuel tank of vessels for Yangzijiang Shipbuilding, has gone into operation.

T-GET is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Jiangsu Yangzi-Mitsui Shipbuilding Company, a joint venture between Mitsui E&S Shipbuilding and Yangzijiang Shipbuilding Holdings, aiming to have a production capacity of 22-26 LNG transport tanks/fuel tanks and FGSS systems annually.

This new plant will be developed to be an integrated production base for Yangzijiang Shipbuilding to manufacture liquid gas tank and gas supply system, as well as all types of liquid tank and FGSS-related products, according to Yangzijiang.

T-GET has already secured orders include cargo tank/fuel tank for 40,000 cu m LPG carrier and 36,000 cu m LEG carrier,and Type-B LNG fuel tank for 7,000 teu containership, which will keep the plant busy till 2024. 

Year ago, Yangzijiang Shipbuilding decided to develop liquid tank and liquid cargo system production line to take a greater share of green and clean energy vessel orders.
