It is the first-time Bluesoul has collaborated with ABS and Rotoboost, enabling Bluesoul to be the exclusive manufacturer of Rotoboost’s system in China.
ABS has issued New Technology Qualification (NTQ) for a first-of-its-kind, pre-combustion carbon capture system based on the thermocatalytic decomposition process (TCD) developed by Rotoboost in October, which allows continuous hydrogen production and carbon capture onboard marine vessels. The system can convert natural gas into hydrogen and solid carbon with a liquid catalyst.
Yao Hao, chairman of Bluesoul said, “Rotoboost’s TCD technology fits perfectly in LNG carrier and LNG-powered vessels as the solid carbon storage space needed onboard will be greatly reduced and powered demands will also be significantly decreased.”
Bluesoul has been engaged in providing marine environmental protection management solutions. The company has merged Torgy in Norway in 2019 and expands its footprints in both domestic and overseas market.
