The company said it was in discussions with several customers to use the carbon-neutral biofuel option for their freight contracts.
The biofuel is a drop-in replacement with no need for engine modifications; Norden plans to scale up its offering as biofuel becomes more available. The initiative is the first in a planned range of projects to help Norden meet its net-zero emissions goal by 2050.
“Our ambition is to help our customers reduce carbon emissions in the supply chain. To this end we are very proud to offer an eco-friendly freight transport using pure, carbon-neutral biofuel,” said Adam Nielsen, Head of Logistics and Climate Solutions.
“We believe there is a growing demand for carbon-neutral transportation from our customers – particularly those with ambitious sustainability goals. We are ready to support those customers that wish to take the leap to an environmentally-friendly form of freight transport,” said Nielsen.
