CCS and TMS Dry collaborate on ten bulk carriers

China classification society CCS and Athens-based owner and operator TMS Dry Ltd have inked Momorandum of Understanding (MoU) relating to 10 new bulk carriers.

Sun Feng, President of CCS met Demetrios Koukoulas, Managing Director of TMS Dry in Shanghai, and had an in-depth exchange of views on new fuel and intelligent ship survey technologies, after which they signed a MoU for ship classification of six Kamsarmax and four Newcastlemax bulk carriers.

The two parties also agreed to expand cooperation on ship fuel, green and smart marine technology and carbon emission reduction in the coming days, according to CCS.

TMS Dry has acquired several bulk carriers lately and chairman Greek shipowner George Economou recently ordered tanker and bulk carrier newbuildings in Chinese shipyards.
