A short contemplation: SFL places $150m bond

SFL has placed an NOK900m ($150m) five-year unsecured bond on the Norwegian market six hours after announcing it was contemplating the issue.

The total comes in around $50m above the miminum proposed value of the bond, proceeds from which will be used for corporate purposes and refninancing debt.

The quarterly coupon for the bond will be at the Norwegian Interbank Offered Rate (NIBOR) plus 4.1% per annum, drawdown will be in March 2014 and listing will be sought on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
