CSSC Jiangnan Shipyard has signed a contract with AW Shipping, a joint venture between Wanhua Chemical Group and ADNOC Logistics & Services, for the construction of three 86,000 cu m very large gas carriers (VLGCs).

The VLGCs, designed by Jiangnan Shipyard, will be in 230 metres length, 36.6 metres width and 22.2 metres depth, and equipped with LPG dual-fuel engines.

The three newbuildings are scheduled for delivery in the third and fourth quarter of 2022.

Currently, Jiangnan Shipyard has seven 86,000 cu m VLGCs are under construction, with two scheduled to be delivered by the end of this year.
