Each of the bunker tankers will be able to carry 7,000 metric tonnes of bunker fuel, a company source told Platts.

Hong Kong-listed Brightoil is planning to add 15 bunker tankers with capacities ranging from 4,000 metric tonnes to 7,000 metric tonnes each in Chinese ports. Four have started operations and three will hit the waters in July. The remaining will join the company by the end of this year.

Brightoil is the leading bunker supplier in China's southeastern Shenzhen port region, which comprises the ports of Chiwan, Shekou and Yantian.
