BW LPG has options for two more VLGCs at Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) after it confirms advanced delivery of two earlier tankers it ordered at the South Korean yard.

BW LPG said it had taken options for two additional VLGCs for delivery in May and August 2016, and that it would have to declare the options by the end of February this year.

The options came on top of a signing with HHI for the advanced delivery of two VLGC newbuildings with delivery now expected in August and October 2015.

“The advanced delivery and securing of options are in line with BW LPG’s commitment to provide safe, reliable and cost-efficient LPG transportation solutions to our customers,” the company said.

BW LPG has a fleet of 36 gas carriers with a cargo capacity of about 3m cu m and has further 500,000 c um in capacity on order at Korean yards.
