BW LPG has exercised options for two VLGC newbuildings at Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI).

BW LPG took up the options in January when it advanced the delivery of two VLGCs it had on order at HHI. The newbuildings are expected to be delivered in the first half of 2016.

“This decision reflects BW LPG's confidence in deploying newbuild assets efficiently to deliver accretive value, albeit the global order book for VLGCs has grown substantially,” the company said.
