The four 24,600 dwt stainless chemical tankers are scheduled to be delivered in 2017.

Celsius Shipping had in April last year booked seven 24,600 dwt chemical tanker newbuildings from the same Chinese shipyards, with delivery slated between 2016 to 2017. The price tag for each newbuilding is similar at approximately $40m.

Celsius Shipping currently operates six 19,000 dwt stainless steel chemical tankers.

Meanwhile, Sainty Marine has entered into a takeover deal of Mingde, its biggest creditor, via a debt-to-equity rescue plan.

Shenzhen-listed Sainty Marine, which reported a loss of RMB327.59m ($52.15m) in 2014, has warned of bigger losses, regardless of the outcome of the restructuring process for Mingde.
