GEFO Shipping extends chemical tanker order at Nantong Xiangyu

Nantong Xiangyu Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering has inked an order for up to four chemical tankers with GEFO Shipping.

The contract with the German owner is for two firm and two options of 7,900 dwt chemical tankers.

The vessels are expected to be delivered during the end of 2026 and the beginning of 2027.

Earlier this year, GEFO Shipping placed an order at Nantong Xiangyu for the construction of ten small-size 3,850 dwt tankers with planned delivery from 2026. 

Nantong Xiangyu has secured over 170 vessel orders as of date. The shipyard just delivered its 100th vessel in June this year.
