Maersk Tankers buys seven chemical tankers from AET

Maersk Tankers has entered into a memorandum of agreement with AET to acquire seven chemical tankers.

The transaction will take place between now and the first quarter of 2020.

AET said the decision to scale back its chemical tanker fleet is in line with the group’s strategic portfolio review. It added that it continues to maintain its product business through its LR2 and MR fleet.
