The first of the two stainless steel chemical tankers is scheduled for delivery from the Zhejiang-based yard in the second half of 2016, according to the shipbuilder.

Elcano currently owns a fleet of six chemical tankers, two product tankers, three LPG carriers and two LNG vessels.

Ningbo Xinle said its previous chemical tanker order by European owners was from Dutch firm Arcoin, which purchased two 19,800 dwt stainless steel chemical tankers with an option for two more units back in November 2013.
