Ningbo Xinle Shipbuilding wins chemical tankers order

Chinese shipyard Ningbo Xinle Shipbuilding Group has clinched an order to build two chemical tankers for Dutch firm Arcoin.

The order for the two 19,800 dwt stainless steel chemical tankers comes with an option for an additional two similar units.

Financial details of the contract were not disclosed. The delivery dates for the newbuildings were also not specified.

Ningbo Xinle Shipbuilding said the chemical tankers will designed to reduce fuel consumption and maximise energy efficiency.
