Samudera sells chemical tanker and oil barge

Indonesia-based Samudera Shipping Line has sold a chemical tanker and an oil barge for an undisclosed amount.

The vessels involved are the 3,426-dwt chemical tanker Sinar Bunyu and the 350-dwt oil barge Cumawis 100.

“The disposals are in line with the group's strategy to maintain a balanced business portfolio,” Samudera said in a statement.

The regional carrier had earlier reported a third quarter net loss of $239,000 as against a profit of $1.26m a year ago.
