Scorpio orders product tanker pair at Hyundai Samho

New York: Scorpio Tankers is splashing $99.5m on a pair of LR2 product tankers at Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries.

The 114,000 dwt tankers are priced $49.75m each and expected to be delivered in the third quarter of 2014. Scorpio also has fixed priced options for further LR2 newbuildings at the yard.

The company has a total of 28 newbuilding product tanker orders with Hyundai Mipo Dockyard, SPP Shipbuilding and Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries in South Korea
