Scorpio Tankers buys another MR for $37.1m

Scorpio Tankers has added another MR product tanker to its fleet.

The company is buying a 2014-built MR product tanker built at SPP Shipbuilding for $37.1m from an undisclosed third party. The vessel is expected to be delivered in August.

Earlier this month Scorpio Tankers bought two product tanker newbuilding resales, one MR and one LR, from Korean yards.

The company now owns a fleet of 76 tankers.
