The Samsung-built vessel, owned by Dubai-based Energena, is joint-classed between Tasneef and RINA and is currently undergoing its surveys from the two class societies.

Tasneef was established in Abu Dhabi in 2012 with the backing of the UAE-government and has partnered with Italian society RINA to establish a joint venture, Tasneef-RINA.

Andrea di Bella, Middle East area manager at RINA Group commented, "this is the first achievement of many to come building on the partnership between TASNEEF and RINA launched at the beginning of the year. We expect this to be the first step on a long and successful path together."

Rashed Alhebsi, ceo of Tasneef, said, "Tasneef welcomes Energena as its first commercial oil tanker of this size in our registry. We are happy to celebrate this event with our partners. We committed to our clients to deliver the highest quality standards, building a long relationship to serve our clients in the region."
