CCS developing 5G ship survey technology with China Mobile

During a 5G + intelligent ship survey video conference held by China Classification Society (CCS) it inked an agreement with China Mobil Communication to jointly develop 5G ship survey services.

CCS Zhejiang branch and China Mobil Zhejiang branch signed a Memorandum of Cooperation and  jointly inaugurated a new survey technology and equipment lab (Zhejiang base).

The 5G remote ship survey is the fulcrum for promoting the applications of 5G onboard ships, which could provide more services to intelligent ship, intelligent shipping and intelligent ocean. The establishment of the lab aims to merge of ship surveying and new technologies, and is a base for CCS’s technology innovation, said Sun Feng, vice president of CCS.

According to the memorandum of cooperation, the two parties will jointly develop 5G+ship remote survey, 5G+unmanned aerial vehicle short range ship survey and the application of 5G on intelligent ship, intelligent shipping and information services.

CCS has been actively developing new technology and equipment for ship survey in recent years, such as remote collaborative processing, online monitoring, and intelligent technical diagnosis.
