Colombian bulk carrier company Navesco has implemented Logimatic’s Sertica fleet management system with an aim of creating digital workflows and increasing efficiency.

The Danish Sertica system is expected to further modernise and digitalise maintenance and procurement flows for Navesco.

“We had planned to digitalise our internal workflows completely to make our processes more manageable and efficient, and we have been told by a fellow shipping company here in the region that Sertica is up for this task,” said Guillermo Serrano, general manager of Navesco.

Pablo Grez, regional manager of Sertica, explained: “This year I have been involved in the implementation of Sertica at three shipping companies in Latin America and I am also responsible for the local support in Spanish. Despite it having been a year with great challenges in the region – and the rest of the world – we have managed to grow, and we continue towards becoming the leading provider of fleet management systems in Latin America.

“With this integration to Navesco’s ERP system, the shipping company will avoid duplications and will save administrative time,” Grez added.

Colombia’s Navesco handles over 1.5m tonnes of cargo per year, operating a modern fleet of multi-purpose and shallow-draught vessels.
