Cornes appoints Kent Lee to head GNS

Former Data Dimension ceo Kent Lee has been appointed as chief of Global Navigation Systems (GNS) following its acquisition by Cornes.

Lee takes over the ceo role at GNS from Paul Stanley who led the group from 2014 until it was acquired by Cornes in December last year. He brings with him wide experience in senior executive role in the IT industry, most recently as ceo of Dimension Data in Singapore.

Kenzo Watari, president of Cornes Group, “Under Kent’s leadership, we look forward to bringing the three marine navigation businesses in our Group, Cornes Charts, GNS and Safe Navigation, together as a single business and accelerating the development of our Voyager platform to enhance the digital and software solutions and customer experience we provide.”

Lee said: “I greatly look forward to working with the Cornes, GNS and Safe Navigation teams to achieve further success in the years to come and continue to deliver the services and technology which is enabling shipping companies around the world to increasingly benefit from digital navigation and associated services.”
