DNV GL and Shanghai Fudan University have agreed to explore and develop artificial intelligence (AI) technology and expand their research network in China.

DNV GL's Artificial Intelligence research center and Data Science Department of Fudan University had signed cooperation agreement to explore the application of Generative Adversarial Networks (GAN) in artificial intelligent risk management.

“We are glad to work with the research team and professors of Fudan University. The cooperation will greatly strengthen our artificial intelligent development ability and support us to achieve a bigger goal,” said Pierre Sames, DNV GL Technology and Research director.

“The research of artificial intelligent algorithms is important and urgent, we two will jointly develop GAN’s application for artificial intelligent algorithms,” said Xue Xiangyang, deputy president of Data Science department of Fudan University.

Currently DNV GL has an artificial intelligence research programme based in Shanghai, leveraging China's world-leading capabilities in this emerging technology.
