The YCC service started on Thursday after the calling of the 1,468-teu Pathein Star at Chennai Container Terminal, South India’s largest gateway terminal for container trade.

“The highlight of this service would be the direct link created between South India to Yangon thus boosting the trade between the two regions,” said KK Krishnadas, ceo of DP World Chennai.

The port rotation of YCC is Yangon, Chennai, Colombo and back to Yangon.
