DP World-operated Chennai Container Terminal in India has enhanced its infrastructure to facilitate smooth movement of empty trailers to and from the terminal, helping to eliminate congestion.

With support from Chennai Port Trust, the road approaching North Gate of Chennai Container Terminal, previously made of mud, has been redeveloped with tar.

“We are confident that this redevelopment will not only eliminate congestion at Chennai port but will also increase terminal operations efficiency by smooth flow of traffic,” said KK Krishnadas, ceo of DP World Chennai.
