Cosco shipyard lands order to build wind farm support vessel

China’s Cosco (Nantong) Shipyard has won an order to build one multipurpose wind farm support vessel for Everbright International (Hong Kong) Offshore.

The wind farm support vessel is scheduled to be delivered in the fourth quarter of 2018. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.

The shipbuilding contract comes with an option to build one additional sister vessel within six months from the contract effective in January 2017.
