The Polar Queen has been chartered to Senvion from spring 2017 with seven months firm, plus an option for up to three months.

The vessel will support turbine commission at the Nordsee One windfarm in the German North Sea. The vessel will provide transfer of personnel and cargoes and will be fitted with a motion compensated gangway and boat landings to serve crew transfer vessels.

"GC Rieber Shipping has considerable experience from offshore wind services. We are pleased to see that our experience and organizational capabilities are recognised by Senvion in a highly competitive market", said GC Reiber ceo Irene Waage Basili.

The Polar Queen is listed on GC Reiber’s website as being on charter to Boa Marine Services until April 2018, and the company said the charter was concluded with the understanding of the current charterer.
