The Port of Rotterdam is seeing calls from the world's largest containership, bulker and oil tanker today, in what the port has dubbed the “week of the giants”.  

Rio de Janeiro: Vale lowered cargo volumes and therefore draught to accommodate Chinese regulations when Vale Malaysia called at Lianyungang earlier this month.

Shanghai: Brazil mining giant Vale's 400,000 dwt Vale Malaysia docked at Lianyungang port in China this week.

Muscat - Oman Shipping Company (OSC) has taken delivery of Very Large Ore Carrier (VLOC) Vale Shinas, which will be used to transport iron ore from Brazil to the Vale pelletisation plant in Sohar.

Tokyo: Mitsui OSK Liines (MOL) has taken delivery of the Ore Salvador, a 297,076dwt ore-carrier, has been completed at Ariake Shipyard. The vessel is to serve on long term contract transporting ore from Vale.
