Navios orders four containerships from Zhoushan Changhong

Navios Maritime and Zhoushan Changhong International Shipyard have entered into shipbuilding contract for the construction of two containerships newbuilds plus two options.

The four 5,300 teu boxships, will be 237.8 metres length, 38.8 metres width, are scheduled for delivery in 2024. 

As of date this year, Zhoushan Changhong had newly received 25 vessels construction orders, and further expanded its competitiveness in containership newbuilding market.

Containership owners continue to pile on orders as current market conditions see unprecedented earnings for the sector.
