Hamworthy wins LNG regas debut with SHI

Koje Island: Samsung Heavy Industries has awarded Hamworthy its first onboard LNG regasification plant order for two LNG Shuttle Regasification Vessels (SRVs) to be delivered during 2008 and 2009. The vessels have been ordered by Höegh LNG, with which Hamworthy has been working in developing onboard regasification plants. They are intended for use at the proposed Neptune LNG deepwater terminal in Massachusetts Bay, which has still to receive US approval - failure to do so by January 30, 2007, will lead to cancellation of the SRV contract.  [27/07/06]
