Mumbai: Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha ("K" Line) has announced plans to set up a new '"K" Line Maritime Academy' in Mumbai in April, in line with its revised interim management "K" Line Vision 2008 plan. The facility, which aims to train about 500 Indian trainees every year and may be certified by the Indian Director General Of Shipping, will boast equipment such as advanced simulators for ship manoeuvring and liquid cargo handling as well as an actual reefer container.
