The 78,700 cu m vessels are set to be delivered by HHI in the second and third quarters of 2017. The latest newbuildings will bring Petredec’s VLGC fleet to 17 vessels.
Giles Fearn ceo of Petredec commented: “Having the flexibility within our own program to transit either the old or the new Panama Canal gives our trading teams huge flexibility, as well providing our customers across Asia with continued reliable supply.”
The company controls a fleet of over 50 LPG carriers.
