Eyl: The Yemeni cargo vessel Amani has become the latest casualty of piracy in the Gulf of Aden. "We were just informed the Amani had been taken," Andrew Mwangura of the East African Seafarers' Assistance Programme told Reuters. "But it had been out of contact for about four days, so it is not known exactly when it was seized." The Amani brings the toll of vessels hijacked in the Gulf of Aden this year to 39. [25/11/08]
