Hong Kong: Rajaish Bajpaee, formerly deputy CEO of Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement (BSM), has moved up to CEO, taking over the helm from Andreas Droussiotis who is retiring after thirty six years with the Schulte group. Droussiotis, who headed up Hanseatic before it merged with other Schulte units to form BSM, remains as a non-executive chairman for a period of two years for the smooth transition and support the new CEO in his tasks and duties.
Mr Bajpaee has twenty three years with the group, predominantly associated with Hong Kong-based former shipmanagement unit Eurasia, now also part of BSM. A former President of Intermanager, he is currently Vice Chairman of the trade association's Steering Committee on Shipping KPIs. He is also an active Member of the Customer Relation Group of the Marine Department of the Government of Hong Kong SAR, an Executive Committee Member of the Hong Kong Shipowners Association (HKSOA), as well as an external Board Member of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University International Centre for Maritime Studies (ICMS).
